The Snug has its own parking space by the path to the front door which passes a small lawn with patio table and chairs under the shade of an oak tree, ideal for morning coffee. French doors in the lounge open out on to a gravelled courtyard garden, although this is somewhat overlooked by the neighbouring house. In the main part of the garden there is a small summer house with veranda, small pond (which is fenced), picnic benches, swing hammock, a delightful playhouse set amidst trees, and lovely rural views. There is also a private vegetable garden. A path leads down a slope to a further area of mown grass with two shallow ponds (although water levels can fluctuate greatly) and a standing stone. More paths lead round an area of wild flower meadow. Beyond are arable fields and scrubland.
