The delightful city of Norwich can be easily
reached by bus, train or car and has a great
pedestrianised shopping centre with a unique
blend of vibrant market, luxury malls,
department stores and tiny independent shops
tucked down tiny side roads. With its impressive
cathedral, medieval castle, boat trips on the
river, theatres, cinemas, pubs and restaurants
it’s a great place to visit.
If you fancy the more traditional British
seaside experience then
Great Yarmouth, about an
hour away by car, will be right up your street.
The Pleasure Beach is packed with high-tech
funfair rides, there’s a model village, wildlife
garden, aquarium, you name it, it’s there!
Fans of stately homes will revel in the grandeur
of the National Trust properties of Blickling
Hall and Felbrigg with their acres of parkland
and there is also the privately owned
Holkham Hall and its nearby
spectacular beach, featured in many cinema and
TV films.
For railway buffs there is the narrow gauge
Bure Valley Railway and
the standard gauge
North Norfolk Railway both within easy
reach.
