Just quarter of an hour away by car is Wayford Bridge where you can hire a day boat from Bank Boats (01692 582457) to explore the Broads or, for the more adventurous, a Canadian canoe (like Red Indians use!) to paddle gently up the River Ant, part of the disused North Walsham and Dilham Canal. The nearby town of Wroxham is one of the major Broads centres where you can take a trip on a paddle steamer or ride on the narrow gauge Bure Valley Railway.
